The TRE-MIX project is a concept which will eventually be turned into a book once the online stage is complete.
The basic idea of tre-mix is an opportunity for people to test thier creative skills, using illustrator or photoshop. Anyone around the world can join in this project which should lead to some very interesting outcomes.
Tre-mix :
1) An image has been has been uploaded to facebook so you can view the first image in the chain. This is in a JPEG format, below the image is a link to where you can download the photoshop version. This is complete with all layers.
2) Once downloaded the idea is to remix this image in anyway you wish, to create a completely new composition. You could take any elements from the previous image and use them. You can bring in new images/text/surfaces the choice is yours. The only rule being that there must be somekind of link between your image and the one previous.
3) Once your remix is complete post a JPEG version to facebook and also upload the Photoshop version or illustrator version to :
www.filehosting.cc
This site is completely free to use and do not have to sign up. it will give you a link which you need to copy. Then paste it below the JPEG version of your remix you have put on facebook. This way people can then download your remix and continue the chain.
Hope this all makes sense. There may be several different remixes happening at one time. No reason why you cant join in both.
If you decied to remix one of the images put a comment below to say you are in the process of doing it. This way it stops people remixing the same image. Only remix the the last in the chain.
